Ron, the ro is distinct from the yuloh, as described in the
following articles:

One of the major differences between a ro and a yuloh is
(per the Woodenboat article) the requirement to pull on a
string/rope to set the yuloh blade correctly.

Did the article state that this 'oar' is called a 'Yuloh'.
