Philip,
Forgive me the chuckle before I go sleep with a communist. I have been
forced to learn the Chinese culture, but I'll be godamned if they can teach
me their language. I've tried, it ain't happening! The* chinks* (and they
have a worse name for me so back-off) know our economic language, as well as
our English. My sister-in-law is the big Kahuna of a major US construction
equipment producer in Asia. The last time I checked, 90% of what I buy from
WalMart comes from China. WalMart tried their BuyAmerica program a few years
ago but the American producers couldn't compete. That is sad. But that is
reality. My sister-in-law is a died-in-the-wool capitalist who owes her
allegiance to a company based in Bill Effros's neighborhood.
Dave thinks we've put these people through hell (meaning the Iraqis).
Please! Read a history book, Buckwheat! (By-the-way, Buckwheat is a common
term with me that I use regardless of race, color, or creed so don't go
there). Travel to Nanjing. Visit the ovens in Dachau. This country is not
perfect, but name one, JUST ONE, that is better.
You don't like the current government, go vote! Don't compare my country to
China, or the other evil entities that exist! I'll invite you to dinner
only on the pretense to get you close enough to me to personally kick your
ass!
