Saroj,
     Thanks.  I had not cleaned one of these before.  I will follow your directions and hopefully have a happy outcome.  I am not unused to cleaning this type of thing.  A stint in the USMC and years in the Army is good training for it and though I have achieved a rank where you wouldn't expect me to do that, believe it or not, rank has very few privilages these days.
     Stan actually told me to throw it out if I didn't want to fool with it, but I hate throwing away things that are not broken.  I'll have to see how ambitious I am this week-end.
     When I was researching boats, I found composting toilets on-line for marine applications.  I don't remember where I saw them but you can do a search or if I run across it again I'll post it.
