Here is some bad news in what otherwise is an outstanding week of good
economic news.  The US manufacturing cost disadvantage against competitors
(otherwise known as trading partners) has risen from 22% to 32% in the last
three years.  The major culprits are corporate income tax rates and, duh,
tort liability. How's this for logic?  If we raise taxes on corporations
(which don't really pay taxes, they pass them on) then we'll lose more
manufacturing jobs, that means more victims who need our 'help'!  Sound
familiar?
