why do you have to get it over the transom? why not just over the side? mine is a push-pull but the tube i bought at lowes is only 3' long. 
  p.s. looked up pandion on wiki. which one is yours?

The cheap WalMart variety (push/pull stick). Just needed to add a 
longer outlet hose to get it over the transom.
