Jeff:
You mentioned considering selling your boat. You may get off list or what
are called back channel requests for information or want to deal with you
'off list'. Consider all such request with great caution. There are games
players here and all over the internet.
You bought the boat from Stan, and he does brokerage. He knows the real
value of your boat, not just a selling price. He has been around a long
time and has a known reputation for fair dealing. If you want to sell your
boat, consider selling directly to him. His check will not bounce like the
energizer bunny.
If you want to sell your boat otherwise, people do post their boat on this
list. However, Stan is entitled to a moral commission or gratuity for
maintaining the value of used Rhodes 22's. So, call him and discuss the
matter with him directly: 252-482-4372 or 252-312-9485.
If you want to post your boat on this list, include a list of all that is
intended to go with the boat and state a selling price.
However, why would you want to sell the perfect boat for your location? I
have trailered my boat to Fernandina Beach. The only problem I had were the
currents on the ICW. If you need tips on how to use your boat, just ask
questions on this forum.
If you have been on the internet for any time, you get all kinds of emails
with enticing offers. Remember that they come from not only Nigeria, but
from the USA. Usually the first is to get you to reply, 'back channel'.
