And that, my friend, is good writing. You get lost in the message and the format, etc., matter not at all.
 
 A friend of mine encouraged me to read a book of his by James Lee Burke. I balked a bit as I have a particular genre I prefer, and this was a 'guy' book...fly fishing, etc.
 
 Well, was I pleasantly surprised...this guy in red checked shirt & jeans with fishing pole in his picture on the back flap, wrote the most beautiful pictures..the reader could visualize the scenes without even thinking about it. The pictures came to life in the reader's mind...
 
 I did that day (and others) as I always told my students...don't go to bed without having learned something new each day.
