Some people couldn't see sarcasm if it slapped them in the faces. I've  never 
done any classroom type teaching, but was a ski school director at a hill  in 
Wisconsin for ten years. I had to teach teachers how to teach and many times  
took classes on myself. I was a pretty good instructor once I had a couple of 
 drinks in me.
