[Rhodes22-list] Soundproofing

Brad,
After similar attempts in my Luscombe, much more primal craft, agreed, I concluded I needed to insulate myself and my passenger (1) rather than the plane. I used clothing as necessary and bunny ears with interior sound for comms and for stereo - worked very well. The only thing I would add now is a DVD and a holder for my Mt. Gay (in case Rummy was my passenger, of course).
The challenge is that any material which is light and insulates from sound and weather, would be a dandy wick for any petrol products, verdad?
Good luck, my friend,
Art
