We are mortals and all things come to an end.
Michael thank your for this list. It was great while it was here and it is
great to know you.
For those who have not met Michael in person, he is a great guy with a great
wife and three daughters.
There is still the old sailnet rhodes-list. That would be a forum that big
Al would like. Once in a great while there is a post. And the rules state
that it must be sailing related.
I object to anything Google. They mine all their information sources and
sell emails to selected targets. If you like big brother, then you would
not mind Google. With the number of liberals on this forum, they would
probablly happy.
I guess we loose the archives. That will make Mark Putnam happy. However,
it is also a loss of a great resource for problems and newbies. Maybe Mary
Lou will write a book about the materials therein before it is gone?
As for me being a moderator, I really jump in and out quickly. While there
have been streches that I would have time, often my time is not mine. And
I do get on and reply often remotely.
Maybe this is really the cause to have a party in Edenton for Stan's
birthday. Sort of like those get to gethers I have attended after the
funeral. Sort of celibration of the List...
