Lee,

Inviting the newbie Tom on a boat with a motor that does not start?  Nice
guy.  But then maybe you know that Tom is a good mechanic?

On the starter motor, if you can see a big tooth gear, take a big screw
driver and try to move the gear.  The object is to get the starter motor off
the spot it is sitting on.  You may have a spot of corrosion keeping contact
from being made.  If you can get it off bad spot, it may work.  It may be
95% good and you are just sitting on a bad spot.  

Again, bring the boat down here.  Rummy and I will try wacking it.
