The stands are made from 3-8 ton engine hoist jacks from Harbor Freight($40
on sale),3-15" truck rims,3/4" ridig conduit for the tripod and  2- 1/4" X
1&1/2"  X 8" flat stock with a half circle bent in the middle,to make a
2-bolt clamp for the top of the cylinder.For the stern support,2- 1/4" x 6"
x12" channel with 2" of schedule 120 pipe welded to the bottom(that is a
tight fit for the shaft of the jack) is lagged to the bottom of a treated
4"x6" with treated 2"x10"on top of that,blocked up on each side to conform
to the hull.The bow stand uses the same channel and pipe base with 3/16"
plate bent in a  V ,with gussets on all 4 corners of the top of the V,down
to the base . Then ,2" x 10"  treated wood on the inside of the  V, shimmed
to match the bow and lagged to the plate.Then scrap carpet stapled to the 2
x10's to protect the hull.
To use,I put 2 stands behind the boat,put the stern support on top of the
stands. Then drop the trailer jack down as far as it will go,and roll the
stands under the boat until the support has 1 foot of hull behind it,then
jack the bow up with the bow eye and engine hoist ,roll the trailer forward
until the trailer tire hits the engine hoist leg.Then the bow stand will fit
in the crotch of the V at the back of the trailer,jack up the bow and pull
out the engine hoist,and pull out the trailer.I always put the engine hoist
back in the bow eye when working under the boat.
The bow eye is rock solid,I'd bet my life on it ,every spring.
