Thank you for your post.
It is interesting for comparison considering recent discussion of HR 27.
The mast is taller on the furling main, but the sail area smaller. It is
using no back stay to have a large main. It must need a more direct line
from boom to traveler to provide substitute for a back stay on the furling
main version.
This is not a water ballast boat. 9’11” is the same as 10 foot – beam. I
have been told that anything under 4 foot is called shoal draft. I have
never accepted that draft depth as shoal. I have trouble saying 3 foot is
shoal draft.
