Maybe it's just me, but this Hunter's cabin (like the other Hunters I've seen) just doesn't have any soul. The R-22, with five less feet, has a far more nautical feel. The Hunter's cockpit is ok -- I don't know how it compares functionally to the R-22, but it's hard to imagine it being any better.

Lee,
The Hunter is a good looking boat, but with a shoal draft of 42" it will
likely be less of a shallow water cruiser, and will also be harder to trailer
and launch than an R27. My guess is the R27 shoal draft will be roughly 30"
(draft of the scorpioyacht trawler) or less, which is about x2 a Seaward's
shoal draft, but less than the rest of the pack. Also, the Hunter doesn’t look
like it has 7' of head room, and likely doesn’t have positive buoyancy (will
an R27?) - I don't think any comparable boats have either. I’m starting to
believe the R27 has the potential to be pretty unique. What do you think?
