Bill,

Raven's outhaul work's great and does not use a cam cleat.  Instead there's
a clam cleat on the bottom of the boom.  The line is rigged 2:1 -- see the
attached sketch.  I'm not sure if this is Stan's design/intention, but it
certainly works nicely this way.  You can adjust the car fore and aft to
control/set the main clew line angle for good shape at an infinite number of
reefing points.
