[Rhodes22-list] Katrina Update

Originally, I thought the problem was that there were TOO
MANNY people in govenment attempting to be leaders - sort
of too many cooks! I recall one Senator calling for an
investigation because FEMA just reacted, and got crusie
ships as temporary housing for people, and not get bids
first (this was within a week after Katrina made landfall)!
Anyone recall how long it took for OUR government to start
spending money and people power on other investigations and
hearings? There was lot of flack over the $2,000 debit
cards, and who was given the initial contracts. Who is left
to do the work if everyone is leading? Next time I guess
we need to declare Marshall Law, and just let all the
King's men take care of it.

Yes, when the leardership isn't interested, things just
don't get done. I even heard on TV during a fund raiser,
that Bush hates black people! Since he's at the top of the
government and so popular these days, is that why everyone
in the entire government is following his lead and dragging
their feet?

:^)
