Thanks, John. Good tip.
I agree, the most likely use for depth sounder is for anchoring which is a
certainty in the San Juans. I've also heard some pretty nasty stories about
sudden fogs in this part of the world.
I'm looking at the Garmin model that has chart plotter fish finder together.
