[Rhodes22-list] Bashing Bush is fun.

Robert, reread what you just said:
"Bush did not get the most votes - just the electoral college votes"
In the context of my message, Bush got the most votes. That is, the votes they count to decide who's President.
Bush did not get the most popular votes. Nor did he get the most votes from people voting in New York City. But then, neither of those particular counts decides the election. As a matter of fact, we could likely fill up this thread with the different vote counts that DON'T decide the election.
The one vote count that DOES, the electoral college, went to Bush.
I never mentioned the popular vote bud, you brought it up.
Now please, lay off the personal attacks....
(that last one was a bit of dry humor)

Brad -
Note that it is Herb that said, "After all the votes are in,
the man who gets the most votes becomes the President of the
United States."
I just pointed out that Bush did not get the most votes - just
the electoral college votes, and that the Electoral College is
an invitation to play games.
Is everyone shooting from the hip here? This isn't a
discussion, it's a bar fight, complete with pool cues!
Good night. I'm outa here.
