Jb,
My boats a '76 and I'm less concerned about a pristine condition, but I've
not noticed any problems from toenails. Good question about swimming with
jackets, they have yet to go over with one on. But we did dunk the smaller
dog in one time when he had his on and he seemed alright, although he wasn't
in long enough to really swim. Here is what we use:
