You know shade all by itself is not enough on the water. Sun screen,
sunglasses and/or sunshade clothing all help protect against the
reflected rays of the sun that get in under a shade. That said we
really like our bimini and sail with it up except in very windy
weather. In very windy weather, we have the pop-top down and the
bimini folds nicely over that. It even acts a bit as a spray shield
when you have spray coming over the bow.
