Yes, it appears to be repairable with just a little filler.  Since I 
plan to repaint next winter, I won't put a lot of effort into 
it.  Just seal it up and go.  The big trick will be lifting the bow 
enough to get under there and have access to it.  It rests right up 
against the (now correctly positioned) forward bunk roller.
