[Rhodes22-list] Next photo mystery - VHF antenna?

Thanks Rummy,
Stan is installing an antenna on my boat.  I don't know which he uses, but I
was thinking a splitter would work, just wasn't sure.  Also, since I'm not
going off-shore, would a cheap fixed VHF radio be sufficient - I don't need
a lot of gadgets, just functionality, but I also don't want to go with a
cheap Si-Tek or Uniden if they are not going to be effective . . . like
Stan, I always expect to see the shoreline.
