Ed,

The Sail Warehouse provides 5.5 oz Dacron mains. The CruisingDirect main
was 6 oz.
While I would very much like to find out what makes a good sail for the R22
and how
much it will cost should I need new sails, how can you "commend Captain
Rummy for
recommending ‘The Sail Warehouse’" when Nov 13, 2007 at 09:19pm you stated:
    Rhodies,

Stan demands a high quality fabric. Yes, that fabric costs more that
that quoted from
Cruising Direct. Keep in mind that some of his sails in use still have
numbers on them.
What is that old addage, you get what you pay for?

You say that you do not want to pay for that extra quality. Just get
caught in blow...
It only has to happen one time. Newbies need to know that sometimes
things happen
very fast. Of course you may not be around for the reorder.

Most of the lofts have different qualities. I recall years ago hearing
that the main was 8 oz.
I recall several members of this forum extolling their Lee Sails. Keep
in mind that Stan
shops around, and if he gets messed over, finds someone who meets his
quality standard.
    Currently that is Doyle.

Also, when was the last time that someone who got new sails from Stan
complained that
were wrong size and had to go back for adjustments.

What is the truth in these discussions? Inquiring minds would like a
straight answer.
