Paul,

No, I do not have the mortorized lift nor the 9.9 engine.  

I do not recall your age or where you plan to sail.  The 9.9 engine is
overkill for a 22 foot sailboat.  The reason Stan pushed it was because it
had a control which allowed you to have your controls on the tiller.
Read all Mary Lou's posts about controls in the last few months and many of
your questions will be given her answers which can be considered
authoritive.

Do you need the motorized lift?  Are you the same age as Commodore Spitzer? 
Most sailors are able to manage his unique manual motor lift.  I have one. 
I recommend it.  Available at the Stanley Sail Shop.

Again, it depends on where you sail whether you want a biggie motor.  On
inland lakes, I see 30 foot boats with 4 hp motors (yea, and some with
motors up to way to big).  

On Long Island Sound or the Chesapeake, I would go with an 8 hp motor.  All
the above is just one opinion known to differ from the liberal masses.
