[Rhodes22-list] Sailing

Like the pics from Lake Hartwell on Saturday.  Looks like a great October day of sailing.  Was there a regatta on the Big Water?  Looked like the one that Roger usually sails in.  Sheila and I had a spectacular day of sailing today in Sapelo Sound out of our new marina-Dallas Bluff Marina in Townsend, GA.  This place is more than out-of-the-way.  Good thing is it is all sailboats and is only a 30 minute motor (against the current) to open water for good sailing (only 15-20 minutes with the current).  This is a really unusual thing for this part of the GA coast.  (And, they only charge $5/foot!)  Just my first time, but Sapelo River and Sapelo Sound looks to be great sailing waters.  Going out tomorrow and Monday for more.  No pics yet, maybe tomorrow.
