[Rhodes22-list] using anchor need ideas easy use

Hi, I'm a recent owner of a 1996 Rhodes 22, sailing in Gardiner's Bay,
LI, NY. I have never used the anchor because it is so much trouble to
deploy and store, but would like to for safety and fun.  Is the center
cleat the only way to secure the rode?  Do you have to connect the
anchor to the chain every time you go sailing.  The storage place under
the foredeck has a cover that has to be pried up each time - a real
pain.  Stan said there were many solutions to ready anchor use. I'd
appreciate learning more.
