Your post gave us limitations and failed to state qualifications for jobs.  
For example, you received a reply back from Rummy, did you know he is on top
of things in commercial buildings and has contacts in high places?  Are you
willing to be a roofer?  If yes, send your information to Rummy and let him
forward it to contacts.
Are you willing to use a pick and shovel in construction?  If yes forward
your interest to Captain Haslett.
Did you know that there are programs/schools in Maine that teach boat
building?  Maybe if you could build a boat from scratch, Stan would take
notice.
Now in Buffalo, New York, you are going to be limited to shoveling snow in a
few weeks.
