Ron,
1. What kind of machine does she have? As we discussed, the older ones do a
fine job.
2. Can you get your hands on some scraps of Sunbrella to test your machine?
If I recall I believe I used Odyssey for the riding sail I'd made....check
out your fabric choices before giving up. It is truly satisfying to make
something for one's own boat.
