David,

You failed to tell us about your commiserating with Bill on the Marxist
Candidate that you support.  I bet he was happy with the socialist policies
of our current Government in Washington, D.C.  

Speaking of your type candidates, Barrack Obama is a follower of W.E.B. Du
Bois.  Du Bois as you are aware was a smart and educated black man.  The
important thing to understand about Du Bois is that he was a Marxist or
Communist or Socialist.  

"Du Bois believed blacks should challenge and question whites on all
grounds, but Washington believed assimilating and fitting into the
"American" culture is the best way for Blacks to move up in society. …Booker
T. Washington felt that teaching was a duty but Du Bois felt it was a
calling." Wikipedia

Booker T. Washington also a black thinker but he believed in the individual. 
What we have here is an illustration of the differences between Socialism
and bureaucracy versus Freedom of democracy under capitalism.

The traditional American Culture is individualistic whereas Socialism is a
system that has been demonstrated to destroy the human spirit and ultimately
fails its idealistic goals.  Socialism espoused by Obama and Hillary will
destroy the source of human advancement, specifically it destroys initiative
of the individual which has been demonstrated as the biggest cause of human
advancement.

As to idealistic programs and answers to problems, I again look to this
recent quote of Thomas Sowell (who is a black man):
“Being a disinterested government official does not mean that you know what
you are doing. That fact gets left out of the equation in a lot of proposals
for new government programs.”
