Bill,
There is a lot more line going out with the CB than the DB because the CB has a pulley system and the DB is a direct line.  I have the DB and measured it about 1.5 years ago but I can't remember.  I think it is in the range of 21" - 24"  I do remember that mine was only going out 8 or 9" before getting it repaired.
