Mike,
Here's a picture of the bow stop with the boat on the trailer.  Like I 
said, when I pull the boat up with the winch the bow is just kissing the 
rubber V.  By the time the boat's out of the water it sits back as shown.
I'm thinking of trying to fabricate something like the crew at Edenton 
use with carpet on it because I've already scuffed the bow a little bit.
