Cowie

I would suggest that on a new Rhodes 22 the answer depends on choice of
interior layout of Customer.

Generally though most boats have a compression post. It should be noticed
that over the years the location varies. While near where the mast rest
overhead, it is not necessarily directly under the center of the mast.

I mentioned recently an older R22 that had a scuptured bulkhead arch on the
port side in addition to the bulkhead that was on the starboard. You would
have to ask Stan directly the technical stress load questions.

Any issues associated with the load on the Cabin top have centered around
having the stays tightened too much, and not following Stan's printed
instructions.
