Dana,
I had a 45 watt panel a while ago in the Bahamas and have a 55 watt
one now. Mounted off the stern they did not get in the way of anything. See
the archives on my Mexican trip there are several pictures. Or you can get
me back channel and I can send you some pitctures.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Large solar panel mounting ideas

> Has anyone mounted a 40W or larger solar panel? I am looking at panel(s)
too large to mount on the cabin top. I've considered mounting it directly
on the stern rail, but it will encroach on all the transom goodies (e.g.,
motor, ladder). How hard would it be to mount on a pole or other extension?
Any ideas?
