Bill,

Patti and her father are small fry. They'll negotiate to let them off
the hook for good intel. Part of Blago's bitching (a recorded phone
call in the indictment) was that Michelle was given a corporate board
appointment at TreeHouse Foods (a WalMart vendor) for $50K+ per year
plus $75K in stock. Patti has a real estate license - she was one of
the brokers on the Rezko/Obama house deal.  You have to think that
Blago was getting pissed because The One made it all the way to the
White House with Michelle collecting all the sweet prizes along the
way and Patti was getting the leftovers.

Here's why I think Daley will go down - they got Harris.  Harris was
the main shakedown artist at the Mayor's office but when he went to
work for Blago he RAN the Governors office.  Michelle worked for
Harris at Daley's office.  Yeah, yeah, I know, more guilt by
association but Harris is the ONE who really knows where ALL the
skeletons are buried.

I'm still waiting for all of this to hit the Treasurer - follow the
money.  His family's bank has their fingerprints all over everybody's
bank account.  Without the money trail you can't convict anyone.

The One could possibly escape if he took the "kissing your First
Cousin isn't illegal" defense.  Hell, sleeping with your First Cousin
isn't illegal so long as you don't marry her (first cousin being a
metaphor for looking like "pay to play" but not actually accepting
bribes).  He's a smart guy but not that smart.  He'll blow smoke and
try to cover the smell in the litterbox and that is what will be his
final undoing.
