John,

In all due respect, I'm not stupid. No one is more aware of my own
contribution to this issue than me. That said, congratulations for
being the first to adopt the "Fairness Doctrine". So, Stan, the
builder of the boat who inspired the list, is perfectly happy with the
way things are, and he being an Enlightened Capitalist, is perfectly
patient to let the market "sort itself out", but you feel the need to
provide a "stimulus package".

Let's cut through all the crap here. The same people who felt
perfectly comfortable calling Bush 43 "a stupid sumnabitch" are
suddenly offended by someone else calling their Savior a charlatan.
Rummy, I'm speaking to you and I know you're lurking offlist.

Fine, talk amongst yourselves about how long it takes for various
brands of bottom coat paint to dry.

Kill the spirit of the list if you must! You won't kill mine, or
Stan's, or the admiration I have for the man and his wife who kept
building the same boat through good times and bad, this administration
or that one.

Why don't you just ask Stan what he wants. He hasn't steered us wrong yet.

Brad
