My wife is a wildlife artist and we used to attend SEWE years 
ago.  We quit going once the money crowd found it fashionable to hang 
out there and be seen.  Prices went up, you couldn't get near a 
restaurant in the evenings, and the crowds on the weekend made 
viewing a chore.  If you can go on Thursday or early Friday, it may 
not be so bad.  Otherwise, come prepared for a lot of standing in 
lines and shelling out the cash.
