[Rhodes22-list] Mark Putnam - review of some comments posted

Jerry Lowe made an important comment.  That is both outhaul and inhaul must
be cleated to prevent change in sail shape and keep boat under control.

Mark, when you first came on the list I told you how to use the archives and
owners web site.  Surely over the last couple of years you have had some
free time that could have used for study.  Elle and Mark posted pictures. 
But did any one check the Rhodes web site?  Look here:

and there is an owners manual posted on that web site, therein, at page '9'
a paragraph entitled 'Sally Main Sail'.  It gives general rigging
directions!  Imagine that? I guess Stan was writing for himself?

Now this issue turns political.  There are those who expect others to do
everything for them.  They expect the federal government to stop hurricanes. 
They expect the federal government to make thing the way they were before a
storm, be it hurricane, tornado or blizzard.  

There are apparently those who expect others to teach them the intricacies
of their sailboat.  In the past there have been those who made the effort to
record relevant information so that others will have a flashlight on the sea
of darkness.  Again, there is a web site that has much good information
hidden in the pages for those with initative to do self study.


There was a time when Captain Rummy maintained a web page that contained
many pictures of the technical aspects of the Rhodes 22.  Unfortunately that
information was never transferred to the Rhodes Web site and was lost during
computer issues.  

In this light we are now fortunate to have an a very good photographer among
us.  Furthermore, she has the skills to create a PDF file explaining the
pictures.  At times she makes post saying ‘another slow day’.  It would be
the cat’s meow if Elle took pictures of all the connecting or tension
fittings and annotated them on a PDF for inclusion on the Web Site?

Think, just maybe, Mark P :-) could work with Elle?  Does Mark :-0 have
digital camera? Could Mark :-( submit pictures for annotation?  ~~~_/) ~~~~
