I'm voting "on the edge" too.  If you're not going far you might be OK.
Does you Pilot have factory installed hitch and extra transmission
cooler?  As Ed notes the hitch may be wimpy. My boat does not weigh over
4,000 pounds, but I've got an older boat with less gear.  Good luck. -
