[Rhodes22-list] Need opinions...deadline approaching

I had to s-l-o-o-o-l-y (2 feet, stop...2 feet, stop)  make my way down a hill to get this guy...i was higher on the hill (abt 40-50 yds away) when he was facing me..as I got closer he started to get nervous...he slowly turned as I got w/in about 30 yds....flew away just after the 'fat' shot . 

Attached...here's where he landed.....

The good thing is that he lives in the cove beneath my house & spends alot of time in the tree...just a matter of my catcing him when the light is good...can't wait 'till fall & the trees turn...

Does anyone know about when the heron leave the Bay for the winter??
