[Rhodes22-list] Want to play again??

Hey, Mike,

This race is held over Columbus Day weekend...it is a Hospice Regatta run out of the marina where I work....One of the largest Regattas on the Bay:  The Turkey Shoot. 

Attached is the fleet from '06, from the first day of racing...the first day of racing was cancelled as that was the weekend of  either Ernesto or the unnamed nor'easter.....can't remember which ..So we called  the replacement race the Origami Cup. Made a trophy & awarded it, too.  ;^) Racing resumed the next day....

It used to be held over Thanksgivng weekend, hence its name, the Turkey Shoot, then was moved to the weekend it now occupies; then the sailboat show was moved to the same weekend. 

Only rule for boats is that the boat or its design must be 25 years old or older. C'mom. Rhodies...come play!

Thanks for the critiques....one thing you do need to know is that all these pix were taken three days after I broke my camera & one day after I'd purchased this one (last October).....& I left for Italy three days after this race.....I'm lucky I could locate the viewfinder !

Question...if  I'd slowed down the exposure, that would have caused a longer shutter speed...true? May not have been an option on the moving power boat...? 

I hope to get some really good shots  this year....
