Herb,

Got any special plans for this hurricane season?  We have a hurricane plan
in place, kinda-sort of.  We're pulling any equipment near the beach to our
shop 15 miles inland and my brother's going to ride out the storm in
corporate headquarters (assuming he gets it strapped down in time). I still
don't have wind insurance on our main shop building - the cost of replacing
the roof from Katrina was $11 grand, and since I don't frequent the casinos
in Biloxi, a man's gotta gamble somewhere. Four dollar a gallon diesel has
all but killed off the shrimping and sport fishing on the gulf. FEMA is
moving people out of trailers to the new motels (screw buying oil stocks,
why wasn't I smart enough to build a flea bag motel - another industry
outsourced to India).  We're losing one of our partners to bankruptcy.  Our
debt is almost paid off so we're turning down jobs that we could get if we
wanted to price them at last years fuel cost.  What's happening in your neck
of the woods?
