Peter,
A real nice and neat job on the electrical upgrade. What info. do you get
from the battery monitor? Do you have to run all your 12 volt power
through it,before you get to feed the fuse/breaker panel? Or do you just
have to give it a 12 volt power supply after the panel?Your boat appears
to be in real nice shape, thanks for the pictures. For the time being
,I'm planning on just using solar power for charging the battery. Last
year I switched from a group 24 to a group 27 battery,as the 24 was 5
years old,and started life as a power source for a 40# trolling motor
for the Com-Pac 16 I had before Country Rhodes.I bought a panel from
Stan 4 years ago,and just bolted it to 2, 1" X 2" hunks of wood,then
put 2" square patches of velcro on the corners of the wood and marting
patches on the fore deck about where the port hatch would go.(I don't
have either hatch on CR) With the pop-top up,I can remove the panel, and
store it behind the porta-potty,from inside the cabin. So far it has
splayed enough amps for my needs, but all my nav. lights, except for the
stern light are LED's.( the stern light is on the to do list.)
