We moved ours to the lazarette on similar  case as yours; thisfor easier removal, and shorter cable to electric start outboard - less resistance to current. Works fine and weight doesn't push down stern because weight is balanced by all the equipment we carryin the V berth.

  Hi all, Happy (almost) Spring.  Well I launched last weekend but didn't get much time to play since it started snowing.  I did notice that the case that holds my battery in place became unseated.  I have only one battery and it is in front of the water tank in the v-berth.  It sits in a open-topped case which previously was glassed on to two stringers running fore/aft.  I am considering how to re-seat it and would appreciate any advise from people with a similar configeration.  Thanks in advance.
