Robert,
My first wife Sandy, an excellent nurse, outstanding mother, and still a
good friend, used to give our son a shot of Amaretto as cough medicine.
Stopped the cough, eased the pain, and put him to sleep every time. I use it
in coffee as a cough preventative. That works too!
