[Rhodes22-list] Airlines slow down flights to save on fuel

Elle,
There's an old saying in aviation, "Billy Boeing didn't bend the wings back
for nuthin'." That said, everyone's feeling the pain at over 50 cents a
pound for JetA and even my employer is reminding us how much flying "at the
speed of heat" costs (something about square of the air, mass of the a*# -
physics is not my strong suit). Here's a novel idea for the passenger
airlines I learned in grad school - if it costs 4 cents to produce your
product, charge a nickel.
Where do we find these people?
