I will attempt to get some pictures of my Rhodes 22 on disk today and send
them to you. It's is a great boat to sail as is, but could stand a little
TLC when it comes to cosmetics. The hull is in good shape; the pictures
will show this. I put new bottom paint on last year and pressure washed when
I hauled it at the end of the season. The water is so cold in my neck of
the woods that nothing much grows anyway.
To refresh earlier notes----
Mike:
I have a Rhodes 22 I D NO. GBX220066T76 Understanding that it was built
in 1976
2 mains + one 170% genoa and one 150% genoa both fitted with #5 luff tape
to accomodate snapfurl Furling/Reefing system. chains and gear for ease in
raising/lowering mast. I use a modification of the GB system by using the
winch on the trailer. I could do it alone, but like to have someone else
(last year my 11 year old grandson and my wife the year before) crank so I
can watch things on deck as it goes up.
Mariner 9.9 HP outboard in very good condition - electric start- used very
little- two gas tanks
Trailer -- in good condition-good rubber- needs lights and refreshed wiring
for the road- brakes removed
I have enjoyed it very much; good dry boat to sail in our cold Maine
waters, but family health issues demand that I should sell. I would like to
get $5000 which I think is a very good bargin. It is a lot of boat!
