You guys are going to have to solve the USA's problems, I'm working on other
things this week.  Just catching-up on the news this morning I ran across

OK, so the growth rate has declined, BUT IT IS STILL POSITIVE!  This must
really torque the folks at the AP off since it makes it so damned difficult
to write a negative article when the numbers just won't co-operate.
Unemployment is rising but they fail to mention that the new numbers are
still at record lows.  The housing market is recovering before the Congress
can even get a decent "we're here to help you" bill in place.

Now here's a piece of news the MSM definitely wants to ignore - April fed
tax receipts were at an all time high. So why are we in still running a
deficit?  It's the spending, STUPID.  The Republicans got spanked in 2006
and they're probably going to get their head handed to them on a platter in
2008, BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT!  The Dems are promising checks their arse
can't cash, especially the 'Lamb of Chicago' and no one is pressing them on
who's going to pay.  More taxes?  How about less spending, starting with the
pending 300 Billion Farm Bill. Actually, I could support the bill if we pass
a windfall profits tax on farmers to go along with the Marxist tax policy
being suggested for oil companies.

Take it away folks, I'm going to go out for a walk in "communist" China to
watch the people who are kicking our butts, largely because their gubment
programs that pay you to sit on your ass are hard to find these days.
