[Rhodes22-list] attaching genoa to tube? - old style

need an assist....

old style tube w/ single disc at base - disc has two holes, a larger one
towards the outside, a smaller one towards the inside.  Sail has a grommet.   

archive search turns up some pix, but not enought to see attachment.  from
the pix it appears to have the line coming up thru one of holes with a
stopper knot below.  Then it disappears under the turns.. but appears that
the turns start from above the disc and work down the tube towards the disc.

does the line go up thru the hole then to sail grommet (knotted?), then the
turns work down from that point?

And....  at the top of the tube.. there are two holes on one side and one on
the opposite side...  but no hardware attached.. what is supposed to be
there, and how does it tie to the upper sail grommet?
