Hi Bob,
Sharon and I went to Egmont Key via the tour boat from Ft. Desoto a year 
ago this spring.  It was fun walking around the island.
Camping at Ft. Desoto park was fun also, except for the Racoons.  They 
tended to work in pairs so that while one had my
attention at the picnic table, the other was scarfing down some bread in 
the back of the truck.
There's reportedly some good snorkeling somewhere around Egmont Key.
