Bill:
That picture is part of a 'classic location' that caused Interstate 95 to be
built away from the original concept route. South of the Border sits right
on the state line on U.S. Hwy 301. Historically U.S. 301 was the main
travel route from Richmond, Va to Florida.
South of the Border started when U.S. 301 was built because it was about
half way to Florida, and it grew. In fact it grew so much that when they
announced where I-95 was to go, the plans were redrawn. On old U.S. 301
they had billboards from Richmond all the way down, in fact more signs than
Burma Shave or Rock City.
However, you could have very well taken that picture from the North Carolina
side of the state line. So it is not proof of your ever visiting South
Carolina. Did you stop at Rummy's place? Where is the proof of a visit?

"This is the law:
The purpose of fighting is to win.
There is no possible victory in defense.
The sword is more important than the shield,
and skill is more important than either.
The final weapon is the brain.
All else is supplemental."
